White boarding

I’m bored. I need a new project, a new challenge. I have a topic I’d like to explore: publishing and book marketing. It’d be good topic for a book. But I don’t want to write (another) book. Did that enough. The world doesn’t need another book on this subject.

So, I’m thinking white boards. Lots of white boards. Each chapter will consist of one or more linked white boards. Each one filled with text boxes, graphics, mind-maps, videos, workbook sheets and who knows what else. Maybe hand-drawn sketches

This concept raises several issues. The first one is what software or app can I use to put this beast together. I’m currently exploring Infinity Maps and Invision to see if I can get them to support my project. I created a test page shown below. I add this to the apps to see if I can get a white board to look the way I want it to look. This will be on the first white board (as a foreword, to use a book term.)

Another issue is what the hell do I do with this thing once it’s finished. I’m thinking webpages, possibly on a new website. This aspect of the project means whatever app I use must have suitable export options so I get the white boards out of the app and onto the new website.

So that’s my new challenge and project.
