Padlet: Creativity at its best
Before I get into that subject, I want to remind everyone about my webinar on March 15 at 7:00PM on Book Marketing Basics: Landing pages. The registration link is https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwrce2urjwvGNcAbl3DFau96OoVjyfElsz8
Now back to Padlets
I’ve been using the Padlet app for years and I continue to be amazed at how flexible it is and how it can easily handle any amount of creativity I can come up with.
The concept behind Padlet is simple; build a webpage with anything on it. Literally anything. It has a half-dozen basic formats to use. After you pick one, you simply start adding text boxes. you can drag the text box any place on the canvas, upload almost anything into it and connect it with an arrow to any other item on the canvas. I recently found out I can upload an ebook to a Padlet to be downloaded by anyone who visits the webpage. I don’t know of another site that allows ebook uploads. Even Wordpress doesn’t have that feature.
The app provides you with a variety of backgrounds and the boxes can be in different colors.
To illustrate what a Padlet can do, here’s a link to rather large Padlet I created. Besides the format in that one, you can also select a format to pack the boxes tightly and compactly as demonstrated by this one. Finally, you can create a multi-page design with each page having links to the other pages.
If you’re creative, you really should try out Padlet.
If you’re not very creative, you should still try it out. It’s quite simple to use and it could trigger your creative juices.
To summarize, Padlet is amazing. Check it out for yourself.
