How many times have you seen an AI app claim it will save you time without actually backing up the claim? Or the app really does save time on a task you rarely need?
Well, Gobu is new AI app that really will save you time in reading and understanding long, complicated PDF files. Gobu comes from the company that built the Scrintal whiteboard app and you can find it here:. https://app.gobu.ai/
In my own case, I have often find a PDF file that contains information I’m looking for, but I hesitate to open it because it is long and looks complicated. Finding the nuggets of valuable information means digging them out from all the surrounding chaff and that takes time.
Usually, I’ll just save the file and promise myself I’ll look at it someday. But someday never seems to come. In situations like this, Gobu can summarize the article for you saving you a bunch of time. Not only does Gobu show you the summary, it lists the Concepts, Quick answers, Key takeaways and Conclusions.
On top of that, one click and it takes you to another screen where you can write up your own notes on the article to be saved along with the summary and other PDDF content.
I’ve tried it on a few PDFs from my collection of unread articles and it really works. I actually read through Gobu’s summary and finally found the information I originally sought.
While Gobu only works on PDFs at the moment, I’m looking forward to seeing more developments from this team.
